What are the DNS details for Bold Hosting Servers?

If you need to point a domain from another registrar to our servers, you can use the following DNS information:

Primary DNS:
ns1.boldservers.com

Secondary DNS:
ns2.boldservers.com
 

Is it possible to buy hosting without a domain name?

Yes. You can point any domains that you want to host with us, independently of the domain registrar of your choice.

Can I have my new email forwarded to my current Gmail, MSN, AOL, etc account?

Yes. Visit the email video tutorials to learn more.
Note however that some clients have reported problems forwarding to Yahoo! Our servers forward to all provides in the same standard fashion. Most providers accept forwarded emails without any trouble.

How do I use / administer my email?

You can manage your emails using cPanel, the control panel that comes with the account. Visit the video tutorials.

Is email included with my hosting package?

Yes. CPanel will allow you to add and manage unlimited email accounts. You also have free auto responders, spam assassin, mail forwards, email aliases and catch alls.

How can I upload files to my site?

You can use the file manager provided with your control panel, and we also recommend the use of a good FTP application if you are planning to be transferring files often.

Can I access my domain without the www in front?

Yes. Your domain will be accessible either way.

Do you maintain backups of my data?

Yes. We have an advanced backup system that works very well. However, note that you are solely responsible for keeping appropriate backups of your files and data stored on our servers.

How can I see my site’s visitor statistics?

Through cPanel, your hosting account comes equipped with two different stats applications to give you a broad view of your site and visitor statistics, AWStats and Webalizer. In addition we often see clients use the free Google Analytics as a third option.
